As someone committed to building a city that ensures children in all neighborhoods have access to the resources to reach their full potential, Shana voiced her strong support for the establishment of an Office of Child and Youth Success within the City of San Diego. This new office was was approved by council and the mayor, and $350,000 was included in the City’s 2021-2022 budget to support its establishment.
As Shana explained, “This investment is a first critical step in helping the city leverage intergovernmental and community partnerships to more effectively and efficiently coordinate efforts that allow our youngest community members to build thriving lives.”
